We have created the following guide which we hope will provide a
general overview of what is, and not included in our website creation from
template service..
 |
The website design prices
quoted here on the UK Trading website are for development of a
website using the template that you have chosen to buy from our
template stock.
We will construct your website using the chosen template
(as seen in the template selection), and will insert your text, business
message(s), and where images are deemed to be 'replaceable', we will
replace the template images with your own images up to, and
including a maximum of 15 image replacements. (Replaceable images are those that are usually
found within the content sections of the website.)
It's worth noting here that...
We cannot make silk purses from sow's ears! So where you do provide
images to us for inclusion in the website build, the supplied images
should be the
highest possible quality, or they could look 'inferior' when viewed alongside
the professional high quality images that come packaged with a template.
Our standard charge for website construction includes preparation and
insertion of a maximum of 15 replacement images in the website build,
after that, any additional image preparation/insertion will be charged
at £8.00 per image billed on top of the standard charge for website
construction.

 |
Where there are 'dynamic'
elements like contact forms in a template, we expect your web server
(wherever you new website is be located) to fully support CGI or PHP
scripting - Where it doesn't, we would need to remove the form or
any other dynamic element from the template because it won't work.
|
 |
In overview, the process
used to create your website is for one of our designers to populate
the chosen template pages with text, images, content/material, and
logo that you provide us with.
Logo's are only normally inserted into a design where applicable -
Some templates do not include space or latitude to include one.
|
 |
Where a logo is required we
are usually able to scan from your business letterhead and
prepare/use that with the template. If you do not have one, we would
normally (unless agreed otherwise), make a charge for it's creation.
|
 |
When we build your
website from a template, our pre-set design fees do not
include any modifications to the actual template layout. If you
require us to make such changes, then we can do it on the basis that
the work will be charged as extra.
|
 |
In practical terms, we
may not always be able to add all of the textual content that
you have supplied due to constraints imposed on the design/layout by
each template. We do our best to make it work, but if it doesn't, we
will normally consult you about it and ask for you to reduce the
text to xx number of words.
We may also see fit to 'amalgamate' the textual content of 2 similar
page types in order to create sufficient text where the material
supplied falls short of what is required for a reasonable page
balance.
|
 |
In the main, we can
change font styles and font colours used in the chosen template, except
where is has an overall 'knock'-on' impact on the template, and final
appearance of the website overall.
|
 |
We may need to edit (expurgate)
any text that you do supply in order to make it fit into the space
provided in the template for textual content.
|
 |
We do not create or write
additional copy (textual content) for your website, you will need to
provide us with ALL required copy used for insertion.
|
 |
We do not manufacture,
create, or procure images for your site other than what you provide
us with, or are already contained in the chosen template.
We cannot make silk purses from sow's ears! So where you do provide
images to us for inclusion in the website build, they should be the
highest possible quality, or they could look 'inferior' when viewed alongside
the professional high quality images that come packaged with a template.
|
 |
To avoid legal consequences
of illegal use of copyrighted images, we may disallow some images if
we believe they are copyright by someone else unless you provide
proof of ownership or appropriate 'authorisation to use'
documentation.
|
 |
Due to the contractual
agreement we have with external designers, we cannot add or
incorporate elements from another template such as images, music etc
into your selected/chosen template unless you purchase a license to
use the second template.
|
 |
We require written
acceptance from you to (email is acceptable) where we may have
jointly agreed extra or additional work will be done in connection
with your website build.
|
 |
Before any work is
undertaken we will first provide you with a firm price costing for
your new website build, and our costing will include any additional
work that has been detailed and agreed between us. Any variations or
extras ordered by you during the website build may become likely to
incur extra charges on top of the original quotation (unless agreed
otherwise by us).
Payment Terms & Conditions
|
 |
We require a deposit of
50% towards the cost of the website creation, plus the template cost
prior to commencement of any work.
The balance is payable, plus any agreed extra charges, before we
publish the completed website to your domain/web space.
